Justice League (2011/?)
Character: Talia al Ghul
Production Status: Indefinate hold, pre-production
Director: George Miller
Screenwriters: Kieran Mulroney, Michele Mulroney
Genre: Action / Adventure / Fantasy / Sci-Fi
Character / Actress replacements
Talia's usual role in the DC comics universe is as a recurring romantic interest for Batman; her father, the leader of a worldwide criminal empire, considers Batman the man most worthy to marry Talia and to become his heir. It is natural that Batman is uninterested in the criminal empire, but he has shown considerable interest in Talia.
She is a complex character, not quite heroine nor villainess but more of an anti-hero. She has undoubtedly committed criminal acts; however, they were usually committed due to her loyalty to her father rather than for personal gain. She has saved Batman's life or helped him on numerous occasions. Furthermore, she helped to bring about the downfall of Lex Luthor.

In 2008, it was announced a live action Justice League had officially come into fruition. However, no official statements were ever made regarding the cast and everyone from Adam Brody, Jim Sturgess, Santiago Cabrera, Common and so on were rumored for parts. Teresa was rumored to be playing Talia al Ghul. But the film has presumably been placed on an indefinite hold and likely not to come back into play for quite some time. Given the astonishing success of this summer's The Dark Knight and talks for another Batman sequel, rumors have swirled about bringing Talia into the next film. However, this would not be the same Talia someone like Teresa would be playing so do not confuse her being cast in that (yet, you, of course, may never know given the right actor for the part).
Now, given this indefinite holding by the rightsholders, Warner Brothers, the Justice League movie has been kabushed at this point in time, but WB has made it clear that at some point they DO want to do the movie. "The studio doesn't want to do JL just to do it, they want to make it when the time is right" says an IESB source.
However, it's not out of reach to think once a live action Justice League movie comes back into circulation, it will be with a new director, cast, and so forth. The Superman film franchise was reigninted in 2006 with Bryan Singer's Superman Returns, some twenty years after the last film but not before the film underwent numorous makeovers: different cast, directors and scripts. So, needless to say, Teresa as Talia in Justice League film is not going to be the same as the one that very well could and, no doubt, will be made when the time is right. But if you're jonzing for some live action Justice League action, check out The CW's Smallville. Given the success of the JL on the small screen, it's definitely going to come into play as a film but probably not soon... Unfortunately. It is a shame considering how cool and multi-layered Talia is and Teresa would have a lot of potential with the role.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
Character: Alice (Isabel Lucas)
Production Status: Releasing June 26, 2009
Director: Michael Bay
Screenwriters: Ehren Kruger,Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci
Genre: Action / Adventure / Sci-Fi
Character / Actress replacements
The character of Alice is a new one, meant to be a new love college interest/heroine of Sam Witwicky (Shia LeBeouf). Although Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox), Sam's girlfriend is reprising her role, she cannot afford to attend college with him. Fellow Australian actress Isabel Lucas was given the part. People presume this role is similiar to that of the first films' Rachael Taylor's Maggie Madsen, given both actresses share a resemblence and are Australian. No confirmations have been made, though. There is no word why Rachael Taylor's character will not be back either, given the rest of the principal cast is returning.

Bay denied the casting of Teresa Palmer on his personal blog, claiming that, "Teresa Palmer was not considered for a role."
Jumper (2008)
Character: Millie Harris (Rachel Bilson)
Production Status: On DVD
Director: Doug Liman
Screenwriters: David S. Goyer, Jim Uhls and Simon Kinberg
Genre: Action / Adventure / Drama / Sci-Fi / Thriller
Character / Actress replacements
Teresa Palmer was originally cast as Millie but was recast by Rachel Bilson after director Doug Liman claimed to want an older cast after two months into filming. "I signed on to play an 18-year-old and they ended up getting rid of myself and Tom Sturridge, who was also 20, and recast 25-year-olds," Teresa says. The experience was obviously a major blow for Teresa and she describes this period as being very difficult and ended up going back to Australia for a couple of months to re-consider her priorities. She did, however, get paid and bought a house for her mother with the money she made.
