A dangerous couple on the run who take refuge in a private country estate owned by an agoraphobic art dealer who becomes their hostage.
Teresa Palmer plays Dale, an ex. stripper girl caught up in a crime spree with her boyfriend. Dale is a very interesting, multi-dimensional character like no other Ms. Palmer has portrayed. She's seductive, naive and, at the same, time has totally lost who she is. During part of the story, Dale has to become "Gabrielle", a lush, rich, upperclass fiance to Andrew in order to make away with $40,000. Dale is quick to fall into step with Gabrielle's persona - and a little too comfortably so. The film's stakes are raised when questions of Dale's faithfulness to her boyfriend come into question. You're left on the edge of your seat waiting to know what's going to happen next and who Dale will choose... And the decision isn't just between the two leading men: it's Dale vs. Gabrielle.

Restraint is a really entertaining film with some very intriguing characters and plot twists. The three leads are fantastic and Teresa Palmer is exceptional as Dale, an awesome female character with a lot of rich layers. The camera loves Teresa and she looks gorgeous in every frame. The film is highly underrated and is quite the little gem. Stronly reccomended for any film noir fans and this is definitely a must see role for fans of Palmer's. - Mycah
I cannot believe we have not heard more of Restraint. While it may not be a completely flawless film, it is one of the more intriguing films I've seen in the past few years and certainly deserves a lot more buzz than it has gotten. I am a big fan of film noir and Restraint is reminescent of the genre. The film is gorgeously photographed and the three leads are excellent in their roles as characters caught in a dark and twisted plot. The dynamics between these three characters are very interesting and keep you on the edge of the seat until the very end. This film is definitely a must see for all fans of Teresa as it features perhaps her best performance to date. - Riikka
