Teresa Palmer has settled back in the US after her much-publicised Australian holiday – and now has plans to buy a luxury pad in LA.

The Adelaide starlet is on the verge of stardom in the US. She is set to start filming a lead role in Disney epic The Sorceror’s Apprentice, opposite Nicolas Cage, in New York next month.

Teresa said this week she was amazed she’d been picked by super producer Jerry Bruckheimer. “I can’t believe it happened to me and I’m very flattered that he wanted me,” she said.

“It’s been a bit of a whirlwind the last couple of years – but I just feel like the same old Adelaide girl. I always used to have five-year plans and all those sorts of things, but I feel like my life is so unpredictable . . .”

Teresa’s current plans include house-hunting, with the blonde beauty hoping to buy a luxury home in the celebrity enclaves of West Hollywood or the Hollywood Hills with her generous Sorceror’s Apprentice pay cheque.

“I really miss my dogs (in Adelaide) and I want to bring them over (to the US), but I feel bad that they have to endure that terrible flight,” she said.

Teresa revealed she is also looking beyond life in front of the camera to direct her first project in Adelaide after creating a production company with fellow LA-based Australian actresses Tahyna Tozzi and Nathalie Kelley.

“We’re working on our first movie at the moment and we’re in the pre-production stages,” she said. “I’m going to be co-directing it with Gracie Otto (sister of actress Miranda Otto). “We’re going to come back to Adelaide and film it there, hopefully next year.”
